My School for Earth

My School for Earth is a global initiative co-created by iSTEP Mentors and the University of Melbourne. It is designed to inspire students to go beyond awareness and actively participate in building a more sustainable future through real climate action.

At its core, the platform empowers students to showcase their school-led sustainability efforts while developing leadership, collaboration, and global engagement skills. As Green Captains, students lead projects, work in teams, and connect with peers across schools, growing into real-world purpose beyond the classroom.

Each year, iSTEP organises exclusive international educator delegations — an opportunity to experience leading universities firsthand. Delegates engage with university leadership, explore innovative teaching practices and experience global campuses from an educator's perspective.

Melbourne

2024 & 2025

University of Melbourne

In partnership with Study Melbourne, iSTEP successfully led two educator delegations to Melbourne in 2024 and 2025, with over 40 educators from leading Indian schools participating. Both delegations included an opportunity to visit Australia’s No. 1 university, the University of Melbourne, while the 2024 programme concluded with a prestigious Awards Ceremony at Melbourne’s tallest building.

Perth

November 2025

Western Australia campuses

Organised in partnership with Murdoch University, the Perth Delegation brought together educators from higher education institutions across India. The programme included faculty interactions, campus visits, an exclusive visit to StudyPerth, and a memorable experience at the iconic WACA Cricket Ground.

Dublin

September 2026

Dublin institutions

The Dublin Delegation, organised exclusively with University College Dublin (UCD), will bring together educators from leading schools across India for a three-day immersive programme featuring campus visits, faculty interactions, and insights into Ireland’s globally recognised higher education system.

Active participation within the iSTEP community and continued commitment towards student development may lead to consideration for future international educator delegations.
